VMHLC is a 501(c)(19) Veteran-member nonprofit organization. Joining VMHLC means stepping into a movement led by those who have lived it—Veterans, family members, and professionals who survived the battle and now fight for the right to heal.
For nonprofits, research institutions, Veteran Service Organizations, and mission-driven companies working toward the same goals.
For allied professionals, clinicians, researchers, or community leaders who actively advance Veteran mental health and policy reform.

A 501(c)(19) is a federally recognized tax-exempt status created specifically for Veteran Service Organizations (VSOs). To qualify, at least 75% of members must be U.S. Veterans, and the remainder must be family members, surviving spouses, or supporters of Veterans. This structure ensures that Veterans lead and govern the organization, with allies serving in supporting roles.
